It’s true that some mothers elicit a soulful: “Oh Mother!” But, as free decision makers, my invitation is for us to accept the responsibility for the mother we have, because at some level we have chosen her or attracted her.
Our mother is our first mirror and the best teacher to incorporate that core lesson that we haven’t managed to learn.
Since I published the original version of this book (Historias que son… ¡De Madre!) in 2013, I’ve been asked: “Why are women to blame”? My explanation is that a mother is never guilty, but always a protagonist…
